The Healthy Place To Work® certification process is brought by the deep expertise of academics, professionals and leaders in the human resources and health arena.

The Healthy Place to Work certification helps you earn positive recognition in your industry and community. Once you have been certified, you can use the accreditation to help attract and retain talent.

Certification in 4 steps

  1. Describe to Healthy Place to Work® the programmes and initiatives currently in place to foster a culture of health and wellbeing.
  2. Survey your employees on the health status of your organisation through the Healthy Place to Work® diagnostic instrument.
  3. With your Healthy Place to Work® consultant, review and analyse the results, identify the key presenting issues and commence development of your transformation plan.
  4. Meet the criteria – and celebrate with your people.

Certification Criteria

To certify as a Healthy Place to Work, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have at least 50 employees.
  • Complete a full census, e.g. all employees, not a single team.
  • Achieve a minimum 70% average health score.
  • Meet requirements in terms of response rates and meet a confidence interval and margin of error threshold, which may vary depending on the size of your organisations.

When the above criteria are met, the certification is valid for 12 months, and can be used in internal and external communications.
